About John Short

To begin with, I love my career! There is never a day where I get out of bed and say, “I just don’t want to do this today.” I am fortunate enough to work in a profession where I get to be involved with people who are making the biggest investment of their lives. Whether I’m working with a first-time home buyer, someone relocating to the area for work or family reasons, or starting or adding to their investment portfolio, I love guiding my clients through this process. I take great pride in keeping my clients informed on how the process works and what to expect next. I find that by keeping everyone informed while we are going through the different stages of their home buying or selling experience, and keeping them informed of their options, my client’s stress is reduced, and they feel they have more control over this process. Nobody likes surprises and I try to avoid them at all costs.
I surround myself with some of the best people in the Real Estate industry, from lending to inspections to escrow. It is important to me that my clients know they have a team that they can trust who is working in their best interest at all times. All in all, my main goal is to listen to my client’s needs, help them to maximize their goals in buying or selling a home and take them to the finish line in a smooth manner. There is nothing like giving keys to the new homeowner and experiencing the joy they have on closing day or completing the sale of a home for my sellers so that they can move on to the next chapter of their lives. I love when I get calls from new clients that say, I’m friends with a client of yours and they recommended that I call you to help me buy or sell a home. That’s what tells me I’ve done my job!
